1. Coating area
The RLC unit has a small foot print and present an open platform that is easily adaptable to all the great experiments that have not been carried out yet. You can fit them almost everywhere in the lab, in the fume cupboard, on the bench and in the glovebox.
The RLC unit is available with two different coating areas: 100 mm x 280 mm and 160 mm x 280 mm

2. Control of coating/printing position
The adjustment of the coating/printing position can either be performed manually using adjustment knobs or through motors that are controlled using software. With the manual configuration comes an option for digital micrometers units for two-point head to substrate distance readout. This provides ultra-high precision when adjusting the position of your slot-die head.
The infinityPV software opens up entirely new dimensions within the field of laboratory scale coating and printing. The accuracy and repeatability are hitherto unseen when combined with the RLC 3DPrint platform. It becomes possible to plan your coating and printing in advance such that a very large parameter space can be covered quickly.
This option is only compatible with the RLC Wide - (Coating area: 160 mm x 280 mm)
3. Base plate
The RLC has an integrated hot plate that allows for easy drying of the processed thin films directly on the unit. The RLC can be equipped with Standard hot plate (up to 90 °C) or High temperature hot plate (up to 140 °C) or Heated vacuum chuck (up to 90 °C).
The heated vacuum chuck for the RLC allows workholding of thin foils and substrates with high precision and minimum deformation during coating and printing. The ultra-smooth diamond milled surface enables precision coating and homogenous drying over large areas.
This option is only compatible with the RLC Wide - (Coating area: 160 mm x 280 mm)
4. Pumping system
The infinityPV syringe pumps comes with a colour touch screen for easy use and ink flow configuration. They offer accurate and smooth ink delivery for your research and development. All our syringe pumps come with USB computer interface which allows full pump control and data logging. You can combine several syringe pumps thus you can perform automated gradient and/or dilution experiments. With our free infinityPV software you can rapidly set up the very simple or the very complex experiments.
We offer two different types of syringe pumps that fits with the RLC unit:
Standard syringe pump
Holds syringes from 1 ml and up to 20 mL
Developed for sheet coating and roll coating were limited amounts of ink is required (0.1-10 ml)
Jumbo syringe pump
Holds syringes from 1 ml and up to 60 mL
Developed for smaller R2R manufacture where large amounts of inks are needed
5. Slot-die heads
The RLC can be equipped with all our laboratory slot-die heads (enable coating of up to 150 mm in width) The infinityPV slot-die heads are extremely reliable in operation, with minimum maintenance and at low cost. We offer the slot-die heads in different materials Stainless steel, PEEK, Titanium and Alloy, suiting the different needs of chemistry, weight and thermal latency.
We also offer a series of our laboratory slot-die heads in in a heated version - both in Stainless steel and Titanium. With the heated slot-die heads comes the possibility for adjusting and monitoring the slot-die head temperature.
We have a number of standard heads and shim kits in stock and we can of course always make the slot-die head and shim kits according to your needs

6. Fitting Kits and Shim Kits
The fitting kits comes preassembled with hose and fittings for connecting your slot-die head to a syringe to feed ink into the slot-die head. The Fitting kit from infinityPV is made of high quality materials and can be used over and over and over again.
Includes 60 cm of Teflon tubing with a 0.50 mm diameter for low-viscosity inks, and PEEK female Luer lock connectors for secure and reliable connections.

7. Coating and printing accessories
The RLC is the creative starting point where films can be made using your materials and inks through a wide choice of deposition techniques and accessories.
The simple flexographic roller system can be used for printing many types of materials when preparing single devices among others the back silver for inverted geometry device.

The knife coater unit has a knife blade in anodized aluminum with a high precision ground edge, resulting in a coating width of 30 mm. Adjust the gap size between the substrate and the knife blade of the coating unit, using the micrometer screw on the knife coater unit.
The Air knife is a powerful piece of equipment for drying and rapid quenching of coated thin films with compressed air or inert gas (important for i.e. perovskites)
