Public Projects

We participate in publicly funded projects that are ambitious and driven by a vision for the advancement of the field of printed solar cells.

Active Projects

EIFFEL's logo

EIFFEL

The EIFFEL project aims to advance NFA materials and OSCs to regain Europe's leadership from Asia. It will use goal-driven design strategies, stakeholder collaboration, and investigate vacuum processing to address stability issues.

LUMINOSITY's logo

LUMINOSITY

LUMINOSITY is an industry driven project aimed at leveraging the flexible perovskite solar cells (PSC) technology to commercially relevant production scales, using established industrial processes.

SPOT-IT's logo

SPOT-IT

SPOT-IT develops sustainable indoor solar cells for IoT, optimizing materials and techniques for efficiency and scalability.

OPVStability's Logo

OPVStability

OPVStability aims to enhance stability and efficiency through understanding degradation mechanisms, predicting lifetimes, and developing innovative strategies

Transparent Solar Cells

GreenhousePV

Increasing global food demand challenges traditional agriculture, which harms the environment. Greenhouse-based agriculture is more efficient but uses more energy. This project aims to create semi-transparent solar cells for Net Zero Energy Greenhouses, promoting sustainable agriculture and reducing fossil fuel reliance.

Completed Projects

LBIC

RealNano

RealNano, funded by EU's HORIZON 2020, creates rapid nano-characterization tools for Organic & Printed Electronics, integrated into manufacturing lines such as R2R Printing and OVPD. These tools improve product quality and reliability through non-destructive testing, fostering collaboration across academia, SMEs, and industry to advance manufacturing in electronics, wearables, and energy sectors.

MADRAS's logo

MADRAS

MADRAS, funded by EU's HORIZON 2020, advances OLAE devices through high-speed, scalable IMHyPE manufacturing. It develops materials to enhance performance and stability, targeting flexible plastronic products for authentication and smart manufacturing in sectors like automotive and healthcare.

Printed solar cells

SOLO

Crystalline silicon solar cells are widely used but fragile, requiring glass mounting. Printed solar cells offer rapid, eco-friendly production and are recyclable. SOLO panels are lightweight, flexible, moldable, and suitable for any structure due to their low weight. We aim to innovate production of 12-Watt SOLO panels, optimizing equipment and processes at infinityPV to enhance flexibility and output.

Motherboard

Scalable Electronics

This EUDP-supported project aims to enhance plastic solar cell adoption by developing scalable electronics. infinityPV has pioneered small-scale electronics and seeks to industrialize them for full scalability in voltage and power, enabling integration into the Danish energy system for applications like carports and greenhouses, with efficient energy harvesting and potential for grid connection and battery storage.

Robotization of Solar Cell Fabrication

Robotization of Solar Cell Fabrication

Innovation Fund Denmark's Innobooster initiative supports infinityPV in automating solar cell post-treatment using UR5 robots for vision control, laser cutting, foil handling, and testing. Key developments include the robotic system implementation, safety exploration, and a mobile platform for various tasks.

Solar Cell and Ink

INKA

The project focuses on developing a specialized ink for the active layer of polymer solar cells, optimized for industrial printing machines. This ink aims to achieve at least six percent efficiency in converting solar energy into electricity, doubling initial capabilities. Key challenges include ensuring the ink's compatibility with large-scale production methods and meeting specific performance criteria for solar cell manufacturing.
