Our most popular standard option is the Stainless Steel (M315 Heavy), known for its cost-effectiveness and versatility, suitable for 95% of applications. For those with specific requirements, we offer alternative materials including:

  • PEEK (Ultra-Lightweight), ideal for weight-sensitive applications

  • Stainless Steel (316L Heavy), which provides durability and resistance

  • Titanium (Lightweight), combining strength with reduced weight.

In addition to these materials, we provide slot-die heads in various alloys like aluminum-magnesium and can manufacture heads using specialty materials such as Inconel and Teflon upon request. For unique needs, our team is ready to collaborate on custom solutions tailored to your exact specifications.

Heated and Non-Heated Slot-die Heads

We offer high-performance heated slot-die heads designed to meet the precise needs of your slot-die coating applications, with customizable heating options to ensure optimal temperature control. Our solutions include both direct heating of head components and the use of a heated mount. While a heated mount is versatile and compatible with any head design, it is less effective for materials like stainless steel, PEEK, and titanium due to their poor thermal conductivity, leading to uneven temperature control. We recommend heated mounts only for highly conductive alloys, small heads, minimal heating above ambient temperatures, and low flow rates (e.g., a 40 mm head operating at 40°C with a flow rate of 0.1 mL/min).

For superior performance, we offer direct heating through electrical or liquid-based systems. Electrical heating is cost-effective, simple, and widely used, while liquid heating provides advanced thermal management for demanding applications. Direct electrical heating is the most common due to its balance of performance, simplicity, and cost.

Our heated slot-die heads can be customized with side or top-slanted entry points for electrical wiring or liquid hoses. Standard configurations place these entries on the right side of the head when viewed from the front, but we can accommodate custom positions to fit your specific setup.
